Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead and direct production staff in our dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety quality productivity and employee engagement while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the safety quality productivity costeffectiveness ontime delivery and employee engagement through the effective direction of staff.
  • Motivates employees through training communication and coaching.
  • Addresses employee issues as needed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinates and schedules production activities and staffing to meet divisional goals and customer demands.
  • Assists with continuous improvement through participation implementation and training of employees on improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with leadership and other departments (e.g. Quality Engineering Maintenance) to ensure smooth operations escalating issues as required.
  • Ensures that safe work performance is the first priority for all production staff.
  • Reports accurate production data including output efficiency and any deviations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and supervising others in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and coach employees.
  • Proven problemsolving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of production processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules and reports.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.
