Job Description
The GetPaid team is a global product team working to help businesses receive third party payments from their clients and customers. We do this by building new products and features that expand the ways business can receive with Wise (think subscription card payments alternative payment methods).
We are proud to support 4 ways of receiving payments in Wise and more than 4 payment methods and work with our regional teams to enable even more. Customers can use Wise to create link products invoices and profile links to receive internationally from their customers.
Qualifications :
What does it take
Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences
Ability to work independently while also being a good team player. Your work will frequently involve crossteam collaboration.
Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
Experience in developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment
Experience with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested
Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement
Following and advocating best coding practices continuous delivery and code reviews
Experience working with relational and nonrelational databases query optimisation and designing schemas is a plus
Knowledge of Java and Spring boot and experience with a messaging system like Kafka is a plus
but dont worry we dont expect you to know everything!
