Job Description
The Challenge:
To provide onsite technical supervision and support by monitoring the day to day mining activities ensuring disciplined quality safe work and compliance to plan of the mining activities on various mining sites.
Qualifications :
The Ideal Applicant:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent National Senior Certificate 20 points over 5 subjects with a E in English Mathematics and Science)
- Valid Blasting Certificate or Diploma in Surveying or Mining related field.
- Valid Code 08/B/BE drivers license (manual transmission)
- Five 5 years experience in operations and/or project management with 3 years in a supervisory capacity combining planning scheduling and site construction on major projects or operations as a requirement.
Additional Information :
Job Specific Competencies include:
- Working knowledge of mining processes practices regulations and standards.
- Exposure to Survey and Exposure to Mine Planning.
- Mathematics knowledge and analytical thinking skills.
- Able to reconcile information analyze quality and drive performance through P101 or related performance improvement methodology.
- Project Management exposure.
- Working knowledge of contract management.
- Working knowledge of the Namdeb Safety Management System.
- Working knowledge of project management reporting techniques.
- Preparing/compiling detailed analytical reports.
- Proficiency in the use of software relevant to job functions.
