Job Description
Join MUFG as a Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial technology. Youll be at the forefront of designing and managing cuttingedge data infrastructure ensuring seamless data integration and driving innovation through realtime data processing. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining data quality optimizing performance and safeguarding sensitive financial information.
You Will:
- Data Infrastructure Management: Designing building and maintaining the data infrastructure including databases and data pipelines to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- ETL (Extract Transform Load) Development: Developing and implementing ETL processes to extract data from various sources transform it into a consistent format and load it into the data ecosystem for analysis.
- Data Integration: Integrating data from different systems and sources including internal databases and external APIs to create a unified view of the organizations financial data.
- Data Quality and Governance: Ensuring data quality integrity and security by implementing data governance processes data validation and data cleansing procedures.
- Performance Optimization: Optimizing data infrastructure and processing pipelines to enhance data processing speed and overall system performance.
- Realtime Data Processing: Implementing realtime data processing solutions to handle streaming financial data for timesensitive applications like trading platforms or fraud detection.
- Data Security and Privacy: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive financial data from unauthorized access and complying with data privacy regulations.
- Collaborative Work: Collaborating with product owners business analysts data analysts data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide them with reliable and accessible data.

Qualifications :
We are seeking a candidate with advanced knowledge in SQL regular expressions (regex) testing frameworks agile methodologies requirements gathering and project leadership. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
You Have:
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with testing frameworks
- 5 years of commercial experience with ETL tools (experience with Apache NiFi is advantageous).
- Proficiency in programming languages and regular expressions (regex) (Python is considered an advantage)
- Experience in systems integrations including file based database and API frameworks.
- Experience in datarelated process controls.
- Proven experience working with a team of developers using agile methodologies to achieve planned process deliverables.
