Job Title: Physician Dermatopathologist

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Columbia SC

Service Setting: Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: 07/07/2025 Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8 AM 5 PM

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: 100 125 dermatopathology cases/day

Rounding: Not Included

Case Mix: Dermatopathology

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: TBD

Reason for Coverage: Backfill FTE

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: TBD

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Dermatopathology case signouts 100 125/day)

No frozen sections

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active SC license (assumed)

Certifications: Board Certified in Anatomic and Dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology

Experience: Fellowship required

Other Qualifications: Physicians only; Board eligible within 5 years

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and sign out dermatopathology cases with high accuracy and efficiency

Maintain compliance with diagnostic protocols and facility standards

Collaborate effectively with pathology and laboratory staff

Ensure timely and thorough documentation

Uphold patient care and safety standards
