Job Requirements:
The Position will have the following requirements:
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program or Certification as Medical Assistant
- Current CNA or CMA certification
- Minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish encouraged but not required
Duties and Responsibilities:
In this role the CNA or CMA supports licensed healthcare professionals in providing quality care.
- Assisting with medical intake interviews and gathering essential health information
- Measuring and documenting vital signs including temperature pulse blood pressure and respiration
- Preparing individuals for medical evaluations or procedures conducted by physicians or advanced practice providers
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
- Supporting infection control practices and contributing to a clean safe care environment
- Providing support in the diagnosis and routine treatment of minor medical conditions
- Assisting with patient education related to basic care hygiene and followup instructions
- Coordinating and preparing individuals for offsite care
- Monitoring patients under enhanced observation or during isolation as directed
- Supporting public health and infectious disease control efforts when needed
- Ensuring medical supplies and equipment are properly stocked organized and sanitized
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure efficient compassionate patient care
