DoverSherborn High School seeks a Long Term Substitute School Counselor beginning March 17th through the remainder of theschool EXPECTATIONS The school counselor must be capable of developing positive relationships with all students while responding to developmental needs and maximizing opportunities for growth. The counselor must be flexible approachable and collaborative as they balance daily tasks and respond to emergency situations. Counselors must demonstrate strong oral written and technology based communication skills and be active in the educational process of each student within their caseloads. It is important for the counselor to relate well to all stakeholders (ie; students parents/guardians staff community members etc) and to foster a welcoming atmosphere in the counseling office. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide short longer term and crisis counseling to individuals studentsCommunicate with parents/guardians staff administration and outside supports and agenciesCollect data and report out on IEP counseling goalsAttend weekly Student Update MeetingsAttend monthly clinical meetings
