Reporting directly to the Manager Planning Administration and Zoning this role is responsible for managing and delivering the Towns new Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw independently providing professional planning recommendations related to the Towns Zoning Bylaw review project and overseeing zoning reviews associated with development applications. You will lead the review and coordination of zoning matters and play a key role in the implementation and updates to the Zoning Bylaw. You will be responsible for guiding internal staff Council and the public on zoning and planning matters. The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a postsecondary degree in Planning or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has 57 years of experience in municipal planning with a strong background in zoning and land use policy. Membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners is required.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in zoning bylaws land use planning and the ability to provide clear guidance to various stakeholders. We are seeking an individual with superior communication skills a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities.
The successful candidate for Senior Planner Development (Zoning) will be required to work a flexible schedule including in the office remotely and after hours (as required).
This position offers an hourly rate range of $63.25 to $79.06 based on a 35hour work week plus a competitive benefits package.
Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
