The Core Accounts Manager is responsible for assisting the Sales Managers in everyday operations and managing all Logistics Coordinators Schedulers Core Accounts Specialists and Core Accounts Team Leads. This position is aligned with our Core Accounts and will make an impact on growing and maintaining those customer relationships and developing talent. The position will serve as the main point of contact from IEL to the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Review call logs and other KPIs to give performance feedback to the team when needed.
- Interview potential new hire candidates for the account
- Handle escalated issues with customers and carriers
- Coach new hires by teaching the best practices to run loads in the TMS work with carriers/drivers and how to deliver award winning customer service to all parties
- Conduct annual reviews and checkins with team members to ensure expectations are clear and feedback is given frequently
- Communicate and calculate annual merit increases
- Track sales competitions.
- Monitor account volume and staff appropriately.
- Create team member incentives
- Manage the team schedule and responsibilities for Logistics Coordinators Core Account Specialists and Schedulers
- Develop and manage a team of 45 employees
- Oversees and refine all processes on the account to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Archive team processes in a team operation manual
- Keep all AP/AR up to date on the account
Required:
- A Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of logistic account management
- 3 years of Refrigerated Cross border produce freight experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills.
- Ability to learn other technologies quickly.
- Availability to work nights weekends and holidays as needed.
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
- Knowledge of U.S. & Canadian geography.
- Experience with Logistics Software.
- Knowledge of laws regulations and ISO requirements.
Preferred:
Experience with managing a small team including hiring and developing talent.
