Job Description

The AmherstPelham Regional School District is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher at the Amherst Regional High School. This is a full time school year position. Bilingual/ bicultural applicants are encouraged to apply.
Job Qualifications
Qualified applicants should possess the following:
    • Experience designing and delivering high quality explicit English Language Development instruction to support the rapid acquisition of English Proficiency and support access to grade level content.
    • Effective use of culturally responsive teaching practices to support students socially emotionally and academically.
    • Experience using a variety of assessment methods to make data informed instructional decisions that accelerate student growth.
    • Highly effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a diverse population of students within a multicultural school / community.
    • Strong positive interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students colleagues and supervisors.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • All applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education educator license as an ELL teacher at the appropriate secondary level or be eligible for a one year waiver.
