RCoordinator Safety & Compliance (Open)

Position Title: Coordinator Safety & Compliance

Salt Lake City UT
In office (not a remote position)
Monday through Friday

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Implement safety and compliance programs to promote the maintenance of a safe accident free and healthy works environment by performing the following responsibilities personally or through department supervisors.
  • In particular you will:

  • Maintains complete DOT files as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations utilizing Tenstreet and PTGFDDM platforms. Includes collecting driver documentation and verifying required training. Verify DOT documents are complete and accurate.

  • Provide document review and approval of Driver Mentor Program training. Attend monthly Driver Mentor meetings.

  • Prepare and submit OSHA 300 logs annually.

  • Renew and obtain permits and licenses where required i.e. Hazmat Pharmacy IFTA Device Gases Scales.

  • Facilitate customer requests for Airgas safety information with platforms such as PICS PEC Browz and ISNetworld (safety contractor websites).

  • Performs new hire safety orientation for incoming associates and assists managers with completion of safety programs training and documentation within the required timeline.

  • Submit requests for insurance certificates for customers and vendors.

  • Maintains branch and plant data trackers for Safety Deliverables (HSE documents) training Safety Meetings and Facility Inspections.

  • Efile training records safety documents and compliance records.

  • Assign and track Airgas University safety and compliance training for all associates. Provide quarterly training completion updates to Safety Directors and Area Safety Managers.

  • Assist managers and associates with navigation and use of Intelex.

  • Provide administrative support to the Safety Team during large facility audits.

  • Collaborate with Divisional Safety Coordinators on best practices new programs etc.

  • Attend meetings training and seminars as required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

  • 1 year administrative or clerical experience.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Intermediate computer proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of business English spelling and arithmetic; office practices and procedures; departmental rules and regulations.

  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed.

  • Ability to maintain established records and files.

  • Ability to meet the public well and to deal effectively with their questions or problems seeking assistance when needed.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers employees and officials in other departments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

  • Must be able to operate in a drugfree tobaccofree workplace.
