Reporting to the Executive Director Audio & Radio you spearhead the digital strategy for the division encompassing both the RC OHdio platform and the production of original content. Your role involves setting the strategic priorities for RC OHdio to achieve RadioCanadas goals. Responsibilities also include planning the programming of podcasts and audiobooks acquiring new audiences transitioning traditional listeners to digital platforms and fostering listener loyalty.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Executive Director Audio & Radio continue to position RC OHdio as the top listening and communityfocused destination for francophones across Canada.
Plan and lead the prioritization process for the RC OHdio platform to enhance the listening experience maintain competitiveness and drive innovation to uphold our market leadership.
Develop and implement original content programming strategies to boost new audience growth and retain existing listeners all while adhering to the Corporations mandate and standards.
Develop and implement proximity and engagement strategies with listeners collaborating with the leadership teams of ICI PREMIRE ICI MUSIQUE Regional Services and News. Establish editorial guidelines for promoting content on the RC OHdio platform.
Actively contribute to revenue generation working alongside the Media Solutions team in compliance with regulations and the mandate.
Plan assess and manage the divisions human and financial resources. Play an active role in identifying and recruiting onair talent and maintain strong relationships with hosts and their agents.
Professional skills and personal qualities:
Strategic vision and highly innovative mindset
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement impactful strategies
Experience in digital creation user experience or a related field (minimum five 5 years)
Experience in content production within the audiovisual sector (minimum five 5 years)
Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts and agreements
Proven ability to lead teams within a unionized environment (minimum eight 8 years)
Inclusive collaborative leadership style
Excellent communication skills strong influencing abilities and sound editorial judgment
Outstanding prioritization skills
Broad general knowledge including a keen interest in current events
Familiarity with the industry and an established network of external partners
University degree in communication journalism management or equivalent
At least eight 8 years management experience in a related field
