The Department seeks a strong scholarpractitioner who will share faculty enthusiasm for excellence in undergraduate teaching service to the campus and broader collegewide communities and dedication to community partnerships within the region.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic division and to contribute to the development of student success. Desire candidates with ongoing professional development interests love of teaching and enthusiasm for campus and College committees and activities. This is a Fulltime Tenure Track position.
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of: Computer Science Educational Technology supported by computers or any combination of the qualifying in Educational Technology must focus on computer skill competencies such as programming multimedia technologies and web development. Professional certification is required for certain courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will have the following preferred qualifications: ability to teach a variety of programming courses including Introduction to Programming Java C C C# R and Python.
In addition to the preferred experiences listed above HCC is seeking faculty who are able develop & teach courses related to financial technology coding.

Pay Rate:
Faculty members will be assigned to the appropriate salary grade based on the contract with the faculty union
- Grade 2: Masters Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in field $50421.94
- Grade 2: Masters Degree with 60 graduate semester hours in the field $53004.11
- Grade 1: PhD in major field $55587.43
Up to four salary steps may be applied to the starting salary based on experience.
