TerraQuest

Role: Head of Sales Data

Location: Birmingham office in line with our Agile Working Policy. You will need to be able to work from our Birmingham office 2 days per week/office to be attended as often as business needs require.

TerraQuest is the UKs leading provider of planning and land data. This data is critical to solving the UKs housing and infrastructure crisis. TerraQuest as the parent company of the national Planning Portal holds the source planning data for the country alongside a proprietary dataset from several decades of land professional services. Our early adopter clients range from SME PropTech to large PLCs in technology and engineering.

We are scaling our data business and seeking a dynamic Head of Sales Data to drive this growth.

What we need...

Due to a period of sustained growth we are looking to recruit a Head of Sales to join our Business Development Team.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer and working within Business Development Team the Head of Sales will be primarily responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy to expand TerraQuests data customer base. Initially this role will focus on direct sales securing new highvalue clients and growing revenue. Over time the successful candidate will build and lead a dedicated data sales team to scale this business unit.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow TerraQuests data business.
    • Identify and secure new customers from SME PropTechs to large corporate enterprises.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.
    • Create and manage a sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Development & Client Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in PropTech technology and engineering sectors.
    • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and shape data solutions accordingly.
    • Represent TerraQuest at industry events conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Scaling the Business
    • Establish and refine sales processes pricing strategies and gotomarket approaches.
    • Work closely with marketing to generate demand and improve lead conversion.
    • Hire train and manage a highperforming data sales team as the business grows.
  • Collaboration & Strategy
    • Work with internal teams (product data marketing) to refine offerings and enhance value propositions.
    • Provide insights on market trends and customer needs to shape TerraQuests data strategy.

What we are looking for

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven track record in B2B data sales.
  • Experience closing complex highvalue sales deals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive business growth and scale a sales function.
  • Strong relationship management skills and experience selling to midtolarge enterprises.
  • Ability to work independently and later build and lead a team.
