Schedule Details:Monday through Thursday 81630; some evenings for group sessions.
What You Will Do:
The Oncology Services Counselor must posses strong assessment skills and the ability to evaluate the needs of cancer patients and provide counseling intervention to cancer patients at all stages of their diagnosis. Counseling will be provided on a one to one basis as well as in a group setting. The Counselor will participate in creating and/or facilitating support groups for patients. the position works very closely with the Oncology Social Workers to provide support groups and works collaboratively with other team members to support the patients.
You Will Need:
- Masters Degree in Social Work or Psychology or Counseling
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Preferred experience with oncology patients.
- One of the following licenses will meet the requirements of the position: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
