About the Role:

The Senior Facilities Engineeris responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of critical systems at the Maple Grove manufacturing plant. This includes overseeing facilities infrastructure such as Deionized Water ISO Clean Rooms and Life Safety systems. You will lead system upgrades energy efficiency projects and support continuous improvements to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role requires technical expertise strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams to maintain high operational standards in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the reliable operation of critical systems including Deionized Water ISO Clean Rooms Incoming Power & Gas Compressed Gases Life Safety Fire Protection and EBO Building Management.
  • Lead system upgrades endoflife assessments and improvement projects.
  • Manage ISO14644 ISO13408 Clean Room Design Commissioning and Qualifications.
  • Continuously review facilities systems for capacity reliability and energy efficiency recommending necessary improvements.
  • Lead crossfunctional teams to resolve facilities and qualityrelated nonconformance issues.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance projects and lead the ISO50001 Energy Management Program identifying and implementing energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Participate in internal and external quality system audits.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and ensure spending aligns with objectives.
  • Estimate design costs coordinate with contractors and ensure project schedules meet customer needs.
  • Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field with 35 years of facilities engineering experience.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing ideally within cGMP facilities (food pharma med devices).
  • Strong knowledge of facilities systems and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Indepth understanding of local building codes government regulations and GMP.
  • Experience leading projects adhering to schedules and managing timelines.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing critical systems such as Deionized Water ISO Clean Rooms Power & Gas Compressed Gases Life Safety Fire Protection and EBO Building Management.
  • Expertise in system upgrades endoflife assessments and improvements.
  • Knowledge of ISO14644 ISO13408 Clean Room Design Commissioning and Qualifications.
  • Familiarity with energy management programs including ISO50001 and conducting energy audits.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in internal and external quality system audits.
  • Proficiency in preparing design estimates coordinating with contractors and managing project .
  • Ability to work with engineering firms to develop design criteria and prepare layout and detail drawings.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for nonexempt (hourly) nonsales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt nonsales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and longterm incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
