Job Description

Senior Human Resources Generalist

Our joint venture NTK Precision Axle located in Frankfort Indiana is searching for a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team. This individual will report to the Human Resources & EHS Leaderand be responsible for the following duties to contribute to achieving company performance goals:

Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Provides supervisory assistance of the HR staff as needed/requested by the Human Resources Leader.


Competencies


  • Review recommend and revise company policy to advance continual improvement and minimize legal risks.

  • Identify and adjust recruiting efforts to changing staffing needs.

  • Utilize electronic tools such as Applicant Tracking System (ATS) HRIS (ADP) Learning Management System (Cornerstone) MS Office (especially Excel) to manage information generate reports and prepare presentations for management.

  • Properly investigate and document employee relations issues. Address with professionalism within the parameters of company policy.


Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelors degree (B.A. from a fouryear college or university in training education organizational development or similar discipline or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 57 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting of at least 100 employees across multiple shifts this is a first/day shift position with limited requirements to perform HR Generalist duties on off shifts.


Language Skills


  • Bilingual EnglishSpanish is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers


Computer Skills and Proficiency


  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Internet software:Advanced Microsoft Office and ADP HRIS Workforce Now is preferred but not required (or other similar HRIS/Payroll Systems experience).

  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems is strongly preferred.
