FullTime Network Administrator
Living Waters Catholic Schools invites applications for a FullTime Network Administrator position for work within the Division Technology Department. The Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting and managing the Living Waters Network Infrastructure and will report to the Supervisor of Technology Services.
The successful candidate should:
- A minimum of a twoyear Technical Diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Two years of related work experience is a benefit but newly graduated postsecondary students are welcome to apply
- Experience with IT support and customer server
- Strong understanding of network protocols network security principals and best practices
- Possess strong communication and analytical skills to work on complex projects and issues
- Have own reliable vehicle with valid insurance as some travel is required to Whitecourt Edson and Slave Lake
- Able to work independently and exhibit strong time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Google Enterprise for Education Microsoft Active Directory/Azure Fortinet and Cisco.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain connectivity to businesscritical systems
- Designing and testing new systems devices and servers
- Stay informed of emerging trends in the technology industry and provide guidance where necessary
- Training system users and act as liaison between Supervisor and Schools
- Maintaining technology records and reporting
- Updating software/firmware on all devices
- Emergency onsite support and maintenance
- Ensuring availability and support of the existing LAN/WAN network infrastructure environment by providing ongoing configuration maintenance and monitoring effectively and efficiently.
- Experience in proper securing managing and monitoring of all endpoints as per industry best practices
- Manage and improve current Cyber security and risk management processes.
- Maintain Kantech security and door access system.
