POSITION: WorkBased Learning Coordinator (CTE)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Career and Technical Education and Workforce Development
SALARY GRADE: State Salary Schedule
Classification: Certified
Terms of Employment: 10 Months
NATURE OF WORK: The WorkBased Learning Coordinator (WBLC) is responsible for overseeing all workbased learning opportunities for students. These experiences will include internships preapprenticeships advanced studies jobshadowing and working with business and industry. This position may also require the WBLC to assist the CTE Executive Director with tasks and responsibilities as assigned. The WBLC position also requires the candidate to be well versed in CTE programs courses overall CTE structures as well as local state and federal legislation and policies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The CTE / WorkBased Coordinator should have a comprehensive knowledge of how the CTE program operates from a federal state and local point of view. The candidate should understand and be able to communicate clearly the components of an effective CTE program. The CTE WorkBased Coordinator should be able to communicate well with industry and business partners.
Language Skills Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts suchas probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to applyconcepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practicalproblems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills Familiarity with basic computer operation and software. Ability to learn various computer operations required for management of student information and integration of technologyin classroom instruction.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds (school supplies books files papers etc.. EVALUATION:
Performance in this position will be evaluated regularly by the supervisor in accordance with Board Policy.
