We are seeking a Casting Operator to join our growing team. What will I do as a Casting Operator:
As a Casting Operator you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our stateoftheart casting equipment overseeing the entire casting process from start to finish. This will involve working with high temperatures molten materials and advanced machinery all while maintaining a laser focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Inspect Equipment: Set up and thoroughly inspect all casting equipment to ensure optimal performance and readiness for production.
- Conduct Quality Testing: Collect metal samples during the casting process to perform quality tests ensuring the materials meet required specifications.
- Monitor and Report Defects: Continuously observe the casting process for any potential defects or issues and promptly report concerns to supervisors to maintain high product standards.
- Perform Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs cleaning and upkeep of tooling and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Keep precise and uptodate records and logs of all casting activities including equipment performance and production data.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Organize and Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain a wellorganized and clean casting area ensuring all materials and tools are properly stored and the workspace is free from hazards.
What do I need to be a Casting Operator
- High school diploma or GED A solid foundation in education is essential to thrive in this role.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. All applicants must have the legal right to work within the United States (Visa sponsorship is not available).
- Physical fitness and background clearance Must be able to pass a physical test and background screening to ensure the ability to meet the demands of the job in a safe and effective manner.
- Flexible shift availability The ability to work any shift including evenings nights weekends and holidays is a key part of maintaining operations.
