CEDA is looking for Seasonal Dredge Operators to work at our Fort McMurray AB location on Suncor Fort Hills site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide variety of jobs using basic construction skills and/or operating some power equipment.
- Cleaning preparation and maintenance of construction equipment or components.
- Participating in daily tool box talk meetings weekly safety meetings Safety tours & CEDAs ICE card program.
- Required to operate and maintain deposition areas plant facilities tank farm location screen tanks & manage sump levels.
- Required to manipulate valves Rig In/Out diesel pumps Operation of Dredges & Diesel /Electric pumps skid steer etc.
- Perform other activities to assist with process and machine operators.
- Maintain Cleanliness of equipment & Housekeeping in immediate work areas.
- May be required to assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to travel and flexibility in scheduling in required.
Role Specifications:
- Prior experience with pumps centrifuge systems or dredging and dewatering
- Valid Class 5 licence with a clean abstract
- Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)
- Valid Pleasure Craft operator card is desirable
- Marine Emergency Duties (A1 or A3) licence is an asset
- Small Vessel Operator (SVOP) training is an asset
- Able to provide a negative preemployment alcohol and drug test;
- Able to work in confined space or at heights with the use of fall restraint equipment is an asset
- Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment (N95 Dust Mask / North Half mask)

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

- Comfortable working outdoors in harsh weather conditions
