Job Description
GFL is looking for a FullTime Field Foreman to support our operations in Niagara Falls ON. They are responsible for reporting to the Marine and Industrial Superintendent the Field Foreman (referred internally as a Project Manager) will be responsible for leading and managing all assigned projects in the field including the assigned labourer staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent the Company in a professional and respectful manner while dealing with customers subcontractors internal managers and assigned staff regulatory bodies and the public
Provide job specific operational and procedural training to labour staff
Ensure Health Safety and Environmental compliance is maintained on work sites at all times
Accurately complete and submit all required paper work in a timely manner
Participate in the Company oncall system as scheduled or required
Note: Travel is required and may require overnight travel up to two 2 weeks in a hotel or sailing on a ship at any one time
Knowledge Skills Competencies:
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Previous lead hand or supervisory experience is considered a definite asset
A minimum of a G license is mandatory
A police clearance will be required
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Must be able to plan organize prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and per budget
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with various levels of management and external customer representatives
