EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: URBAN MOBILITY
TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R2219302 PER ANNUM REFNO:UMO25/25
The City of Cape Town looks to recruit a highly skilled purpose driven and transformational leader to make a positive difference in the lives of fellow South Africans. This is a high responsibility role demanding:
- Ethical conduct accountability commitment to excellence in service transversal thinking and collaboration and a strong focus on the needs of residents of Cape Town
- Strategic ability sound financial acumen and an innovative influential and collaborative approach are fundamental as is expert knowledge understanding and vision of the evolving Urban Mobility environment.
Purpose/Strategic intent:
To lead and direct the Urban Mobility function to ensure the provision of an integrated intermodal and interoperable worldclass transport system across Cape Town.
Requirements:
- A postgraduate qualification at an NQF level 8 applicable and relevant to the functional focus of the position
- At least 5 (five) years experience at a senior managerial level including managing a large and diverse workforce and implementing multiyear capital investment portfolios
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Relevant policy and legislation
- Advanced knowledge of government systems intergovernmental relations and performance management
- Excellent budgetary and financial management skills
- Excellent communication advocacy and relationship building skills
- High leadership competency with an innovative influential and collaborative approach
- Completed the MFMA minimum competency training or will be expected to achieve such within 18 months after appointment
- Appointment will be subjected to security vetting.
