Salary:Currently $49638.36$92138.12 (DOE) still being negotiated for
Insurance:Generous Health dental and vision contribution from the district currently up to $2202 (based upon family coverage) TBD for
PERS Retirement:The district assumes and pays the 6 average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Overview:
Klamath Union High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our academic team for the school year. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach a range of high school mathematics courses including Algebra I Geometry and Algebra II. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students mathematical understanding preparing them for future academic and career success. A collaborative spirit and a passion for helping students succeed are essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school math courses including Algebra I Geometry and Algebra II aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster student understanding and build a strong foundation in mathematics.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies including differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student performance through assignments quizzes tests and projects and provide timely constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress in the learning management system and communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other math teachers administrators and staff to develop curriculum and support student achievement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching mathematics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students parents and the community to support student growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience teaching high school math courses particularly Algebra I Geometry and Algebra II.
- Familiarity with Common Core State Standards and proficiency in preparing students for standardized testing.
- Ability to incorporate technology into math instruction including online learning tools and virtual platforms.
- Experience working with diverse student populations including English Language Learners and students with IEPs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students staff and families.
