What your future may hold
As General Counsel at EMEA you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
Draft negotiate and administer distribution and other commercial agreements;
Manage the corporate legal and governance affairs of the EMEA entities;
Perform general litigation management and provide legal assistance with third party claim handling;
Ensure the rollout and maintenance of the groups compliance policies and procedures within the EMEA region;
Provide and ensure appropriate training on relevant legal and compliance matters;
Active involvement in the preparation and of M&A and special projects;
Assist with specific EMEA insurance requirements in conjunction with global programs;
Steer and work closely with the Regional Legal Counsels within the region.
You will report hierarchically to the Regional CEO and functionally to the Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.
Your skillset
You have a Master degree in Law and minimum 10 years of relevant experience as an inhouse legal counsel in a corporate legal department or as an attorney in a recognized law firm;
You have gained experience in a variety of corporate commercial transactional and competition work within the EMEA region. Drafting and negotiating of crossborder agreements is a key competence;
You are a selfreliant teamplayer confident to act autonomously and take responsibility for counselling negotiating and resolving legal matters;
You have a sense of ownership and drive;
You are a successful relationship builder with strong communication skills and you are able to deal with all levels in the organization;
You have experience as a people manager;
You can take the initiative to do things yourself regionally and at group level;
You have an excellent knowledge of English. Other languages are a plus;
You are open to travel occasionally;
You have a good sense of humour.
