The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and be accountable for the Continuous Improvement process and for root cause analysis for the Plant Supply & Logistics Focus Factory T2. This role will be critical in identifying and prioritizing the Focus Factory performance improvement initiatives and transforming the organization into new ways of working by managing and implementing continuous improvement in the activities we perform every day. In addition this role will be key to ensuring that the CI elements are supported and implemented within the Focus Factory.
Through a matrixed structure you will coach and develop the CI Specialists in the Focus Factory in managing change sharing responsibility for root cause analysis to eliminate repeat performance issues and developing and updating templates such as role cards setup sheets and SW plans. You will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives ensuring that the CI processes are effectively implemented and sustained across the organization.
This role will report directly into the Plant Supply & Logistics Focus Factory Lead.

What You Will Achieve
In this role you will:
- Develop a robust centralized project management process for the Focus Factory T2 CI Loop which drives continuous improvement by increasing output decreasing costs and increasing quality aligned with the Focus Factory goals.
- Oversee and manage the portfolio of projects within the Focus Factory T2 including lean initiatives and quality proper scoping of projects resource management and timely of all projects.
- Ensure alignment and prioritization of the Focus Factory project portfolio with the overall site priorities by close collaboration with the site PMO.
- Owns the Focus Factory T2 cost improvement goals resulting from process and quality improvements (including identification development of justification resource identification and allocation and improvement implementation).
- Coach and develop the project leads through project .
- Coach mentor and develop Focus Factory CI Specialists.
- Support and collaborate with OPEx on the M2 (Green Belt) and M3 (Black Belt) project certification process for colleagues leading projects within the CI loops in the Focus Factory.
- Collaborate with the OPEx team to help drive the acceleration of the IMEx ways of working through the coaching of the CI Specialists managing their T1 CI Loops.
- Liaison between the Center of Excellence for strategy PMO IMEx/OPEx leads to ensure alignment with site strategygoals and ways of working.
- Inspire a culture of continuous improvement by partnering effectively with the teams involved in the continuous improvement process.
- Support the vision of every colleague every day improving their work processes through a relentless focus on identifying and effectively reducing waste.
- Partner with other departments who have critical inputs into the T2 CI loop across the site accomplish shared continuous improvement goals.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):
- Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 4 years ofexperience;
- OR a masters degree with at least 2 years of experience;
- ORa PhD with 0 years of experience;
- OR as associates degree with 8 yearsof experience;
- OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years ofrelevant experience.
- Minimum 1 years of lean six sigma application experience using Toyota Production System (or equivalent) methodology in a largescale manufacturing environment GMP manufacturing facility.
- Experience leading large projects utilizing the DMAIC principles across value streams delivering millions of dollars in cost savings.
- Effective team building skills and negotiation skills. Must be able to work through obstacles with colleagues across all levels of the organization and come to a consensus that all stakeholders can agree upon.
- Knowledge related to transactional process improvements.
- Indepth knowledge of program and project management in support of Lean Enterprise Excellence Six Sigma quality improvement and similar initiatives.
- Proven leadership and change management abilities
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor colleagues
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to connect the mission of the team to site and Focus Factory goals
Bonus Points If You Have(Preferred Requirements):
- Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma
- Project Management Certification
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- The Manager Continuous Improvement must be able to multitask across multiple capabilities and functions handling multiple competing priorities and requirements.
- They need to manage and coach colleagues which requires strong leadership and communication skills.
- The role involves continuous improvement projects requiring analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
- The Manager Continuous Improvement must be capable of performing site and functional responsibilities which may involve physical presence on the manufacturing floor.
NONSTANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to support and manage a 24/7 operation which may involve working nonstandard hours or shifts.
- There may be a need for travel to different sites or locations to ensure alignment and support for various projects and initiatives.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96300.00 to $160500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
