As ENG/EFP Camera Operator you will operate portable mobile ENG cameras audio equipment as well as peripherals to develop and conceive videography and visual effects via framing and original camera shots. Consequently you will need to address and anticipate the objectives sought by the production as well as the artistic dramatic or other intentions of the show. You will also be responsible for coordinating the installation and verification of the equipment under your control as well as the transfer and editing of the collected material. You will be primarily assigned to the Moncton newsroom especially on weekends.
Please note that this an oncall position and you will be called to work on different shifts during the week and the weekends.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
College Diploma in Television Production and Postproduction Techniques or any relevant diploma
Minimum two 2 to three 3 years experience in the TV production and/or filming programs news and/or remote broadcast
Skills:
Very good non linear editing experience (Avid an asset)
Digital production experience an asset
Demonstrated knowledge in editing audio lighting camera work and computers
Excellent command of spoken and written French
Good knowledge of English an asset
Able to work effectively on a team
Creativity and selfstarter
Able to make quick independent decisions
Knowledge of and interest in current events in the region
Valid drivers license as well as a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC/RadioCanadas insurer
Available to travel during working hours
