Overview of Role

The successful candidate will join our Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) Front Team to assist with servicing private banking clients and support the team in fulfilling the daytoday operational Know your client (KYC) and further due diligence tasks. We are preferably looking for someone who has an understanding and connection to the region. Additionally fluency in a language from our region would be considered a valuable asset.

This exciting internship will last for a period of 9 12 months and the preferred start date is May 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general client maintenance assistance such as:
  • opening banking relationships including KYC and dealing with Legal & Compliance matters
  • responding to client requests
  • taking responsibility for daytoday client administration (e.g. payments credits securities administration) and internal projects
  • preparing documentation for client meetings
  • monitoring progress of tasks and ensure proper followup

  • Provide financial markets support such as:
  • updating clients portfolios overview including performance metrics
  • researching on specific companies sectors and macroeconomics topics
  • supporting Seniors in processing trading orders
  • updating quarterly client presentations (MS Powerpoint) & reports (MS Excel)

  • Ensure close cooperation with various departments in carrying out the above activities
  • Collaborate in marketing activities of the team including maintaining prospects lists writing marketing letters organising meetings and business trips and ensuring proper follow up

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master student or completed Swiss banking apprenticeship
  • Strong MS Office skills prior experience with Avaloq an advantage

Experience Skills and Competencies Required

  • Previous experience in the financial industry is considered a plus
  • Knowledge and interest in financial markets and asset allocation
  • Fluent in English/German and preferably a local language of the Central & South Eastern European region
