We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing guidance support and mentorship to young individuals contributing to their personal and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with youth through mentorship and counselling.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities that promote skillbuilding leadership and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with schools community organizations and stakeholders to enhance resources and support for youth.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of young individuals within the community.
  • Provide educational resources and conduct training sessions on relevant topics.
  • Respond to crisis situations offering immediate support and collaborating with appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions assessments and program outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to youth development.
  • Managing potential behaviors of concern.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate 4 or higher in Child/Youth and Family Intervention or related fields.
  • Previous experience working with youth is preferred.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social services.
  • Empathy patience and a genuine interest in promoting positive youth development.
  • Experience with working with people with disabilities.
  • An Australian drivers licenseis required.
