About the Role & Team
The Development Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the scheme development from Acquisition to Planning Approval (RIBA Stage 1 to 3 and the management of the planning application process in order to deliver financially viable schemes for London Square. This will include being responsible for appointing the professional teams liaising with the internal departments Preconstruction Finance Estimating Sales and Technical to develop the scheme in line with Acquisition Board approved Business Plan;
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Land Buyers to support the land bid process and acquisition due diligence.
- Provide the external face of the Company throughout the planning application process.
- External stakeholder management public consultation and dialogue with Officers and Members at all levels are all very important aspects of the role.
- Commission and manage multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Formulation of site optimisation strategies to maximise value of sites.
- Monitoring a schemes development inline with business objectives.
- Managing and delivering planning applications and permissions to programme.
- Public engagement and S106 negotiation.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Management of predevelopment budgets.
- 3rd Party negotiation with adjoining owners commercial purchasers housing associations.
- Responsible for further s73/NMA amendments for further post consent optimisation.
About you
- Track record of delivery of large residential schemes from scheme development through to planning based residential development experience essential.
Project management skills and experience of optimisation strategies. - Team management including formulation and management of consultant teams.
- Experience of crossfunctional teamworking with strong communication and engagement skills
- Degree educated with Planning Construction Technical or Land experience preferred.
