Job Description
TriCounty Special Education Services and Ft. Larned USD 495are looking for a Secondary Special Education Teacher for the 202526 school year! This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- Kansas teaching license with the appropriate Special Education endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to design and implement individualized instruction
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to collaboration and studentcentered learning
Essential Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging individualized instruction to meet student needs
- Use effective teaching strategies and adjust instruction based on student progress
- Assess student abilities monitor progress and provide regular reports
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Follow state statutes school board policies and district regulations
- Attend meetings serve on committees and complete assigned duties
- Maintain accurate records and ensure student safety and wellbeing
- Stay current on best instructional practices including educational technology
