Position: Field Service Technician
Job Location: Roanoke VA

Summary of the Role
Seeking an entrylevel Conveyor Belting Technician who in is mechanically inclined. Performs splices and installation on various types of conveyor belts and components to meet customer and industry requirements. Performs other field service and warehouse tasks as trained and required. Reports to Field Service Supervisor or Manager.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100 commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Works closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members in attaining goals and objectives
- Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation
- Communicate general and qualityrelated concerns to management
- Provide onsite customer service
- Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice
- Understands tools and machinery applicable to the job
- Travel is a required part of job
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to work overtime hours evening and weekends when required
- Must be able travel to outoftown jobs as needed
- Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers and teammembers in a professional manner
- Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.
- Basic computer skills including; internet and email.
- Must be able to apply OSHA standards applicable and MSHA standards as applicable (training will be provided)
Minimum Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- 1 3 years of experience working with conveyors and conveyor components
- Have a high school diploma/GED
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Be able to work independently
- Ability to safely drive a Company truck
- Ability to see in color
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to pull push grasp bend lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently on a repeated basis
- Ability to consistently move physically about worksite during the full workday
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills
- Properly measure with a tape measure
- Ability to travel on regular basis
- Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company Customer or DOT requirements in working onsite and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)
- Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical exam or have a current DOT medical card
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with conveyors and conveyor components
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair of machinery a plus
- OSHA 10 and MSHA certifications
- First aid and CPR certifications
