Enbridge is currently seeking an Engineer I withfocus design and project management in support of installing and maintaining high pressure natural gas pipelines (above 125 PSIG) throughout our territory in Utah Wyoming and Idaho.

This position is located in Salt Lake City Utah.

What You Will Do:

  • Initially assist other engineers in design and project management. Responsibilities will increase commensurate with experience and performance.
  • Assist or be responsible for engineering design project proposals materials procurement planning scheduling and coordinating projects on high pressure natural gas systems and related facilities.
  • Coordinate inhouse and contracted services and resources.
  • Provide engineering support for construction projects and review project change requests.
  • Perform analysis of pipeline and facility capacities economic justification and feasibility studies.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with internal departments and outside governmental agencies.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to other departments.
  • Collection compile and analyze information and data used in engineering tasks; perform facility records research as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

03 years of relevant engineering experience.

(A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.

  • Basic knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles concepts and fundamentals.
  • Basic competency in applying engineering principles fundamental concepts practices and procedures requiring some evaluation originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab Excel etc..
  • Planning organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills.
  • Effective decisionmaking skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Ability to think analytically interpret codes and regulations and practices.
  • Work independently or in a team environment.
  • Process information quickly and effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Preferred Knowledge ofhigh pressure natural gas system design piping network analysis software modeling government regulations relating to natural gas and project management principles.

Education Requirements:

Required: Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

  • Preferred disciplines: Mechanical Civil Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • Preferred: Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)

Upcoming engineering degree graduates with a projected graduation date of no later than June 2025 who also meet the engineering criteria will be considered.

For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series the following criteria must be met:

  • Possess a 4year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET or
  • Possess a 4year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the countrys own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory and is a degree that was recognized by the countrys accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved or
  • Possess a 4year engineering degree from a nonABET accredited program and a postgraduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET or
  • Possess a 4year degree in Physics Chemistry or Math and a postgraduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET or
  • Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology organize and prioritize work schedule on a shortterm basis make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines complete routine forms compose letters outlines memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
