Who we are looking for:
Were looking for an ambitious individual to join our European finance team based out of Manchester UK. The role of Finance Assistant will be supporting the financial control team in all aspects of finance.
Specific tasks will include but are not limited to for multiple European entities:
- Performing Balance Sheet reconciliations on a month & quarterly basis ensuring queries are followed up
- Involvement in collating information for both the interim and Year End Audit. Includes monthly supporting information for the auditors to enable a swift & efficient audit.
- Responsible for the fixed asset register reconciliation & associated journal postings.
- CAPEX reporting and analysis to the Finance manager.
- Supporting the team to reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Authorising credit notes.
- Performing monthend close down duties for European entities
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including multiple cash and bank accounts ensuring all balance on a monthly basis and queries are followed up proactively.
- Perform the role with a customerfocused outlook always aware of who our internal customers are and striving to provide the best possible service to them
- Other finance duties to support the wider finance team
Requirements
What youll need:
- Experience in a finance team with an awareness of finance functions and basic accounting skills. This role would suit someone who has started AAT training.
- Ideal candidates will have strong numeracy and IT skills be able to work on their own initiative be confident and assertive with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels. You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results
- Teamwork is essential in this role as your work integrates across many departments within the business therefore you must be team orientated and able to maintain positive and supportive relationships with your colleagues at all times
- Effective organizational ability and time management skills are crucial and you must be able to work to tight deadlines
