JOB TITLE:
Shipping & Receiving Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist Shipping & Receiving Department in terms of outgoing and incoming freight and packages
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make labels and ensure packages get shipping for outgoing. Assist freight drivers making sure freight gets delivered to the right place. Assist with billing for Shipping & Receiving
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist other Materials Services departments (Recycling Movers) as needed.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Shipping & Receiving experience equal to one year or more
High School Degree
Able to lift and push up to 50 lbs. with little to no assistance.
Must be able to work 12pm to 4 pm Monday through Thursday and 12pm to 3:30pm on Fridays.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills in person or over the phone
Knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping systems (creating labels for outgoing packages)
Basic computer skills including most Microsoft programs
Able to lift and push up to 50 lbs. with little to no assistance.
Billing experience
Successful candidate must be able to work 12pm to 4 pm Monday through Thursday and 12pm to 3:30pm on Fridays.
