Job Description
RieLes Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Regional Vision Care Coordinator supporting the Ocular Trauma Centers (OTC) or MTF at Joint Base LewisMcChord WA. Ocular Trauma Centers (OTC) are specialized facilities within the Military Health System that focus on treating severe eye injuries often related to combat. Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) are general healthcare facilities that provide medical services to military service members their families and other eligible beneficiaries ranging from primary care to specialized treatment.

MondayFriday (core hours: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM; duty hours: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM)
Federal holidays and emergency closures are observed
Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) is a major military hospital located at Joint Base LewisMcChord Washington. Established in 1944 it is one of the largest military hospitals on the West Coast. MAMC provides comprehensive healthcare services including emergency care surgery behavioral health and wellness programs. It is a Level II Trauma Center and a key training site with numerous medical education programs. The center also houses the Intrepid Spirit Center which specializes in treating traumatic brain injuries and PTSD. MAMC supports the medical readiness of military personnel and provides care for service members families and retirees.
Position Summary
The Regional Vision Care Coordinator will support the delivery of timely and appropriate vision care to DoD beneficiaries within their assigned geographic area. This position is vital to the coordination of services across Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and with the VA ensuring efficient referrals continuity of care and access to vision rehabilitation or surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vision care referrals followups and patient movement across MTFs and VA facilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for vision care within assigned regional MTF
- Monitor and report performance metrics and assist in care quality improvements
- Liaise with other regional coordinators and the National Vision Care Coordinator
- Facilitate the transition of patients between DoD and VA for enhanced care options
- Ensure compliance with DHA and DoD protocols and support transition planning when needed
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree required in Vision Science Healthcare Administration Public Health or a related field
- Clinical background (e.g. RN Optometry Technician Vision Rehab Specialist) is a plus
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a health care coordinator social worker case manager or registered nurse
- Familiarity with MHS or VA healthcare systems strongly preferred
- Experience with vision care (optometry ophthalmology vision rehab) is highly desirable
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
Travel & Emergency Services
- Some travel may be required to attend meetings training or conferences within the Continental United States (CONUS) and within the National Capitol Region (NCR)
- Occasional support may be needed outside of standard working hours for emergency services or contingency plan activations
