Sentara Princess Anne Hospital located in Virginia Beach Virginia is hiring an RN (Registered Nurse) to join our PreOp & Phase II Recovery Team in the Same Day Surgery Department.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation coordination of care teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidence based practice /nursing research quality evaluation resource utilization and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Position Overview
- We see approximately 30 40 patients per day.
- Approximately 16 hours per week. 8hour shifts. The shift may begin as early as 6:00 a.m.
- There are 5 6 days of On Call shifts per month. The call starts at the end of your shift and ends at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday Friday.
- No weekends!
- Preop and Phase II Recovery role
Education
- RNAssociates Degree
- RNBachelors Degree
- RNDiploma
- RNMasters Degree
License and Certification
- Virginia or Compact MultiState License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Experience
- A minimum of one year of RN (Registered Nurse) experience preferred.
- We are unable to consider new grad RNs currently.

We provide marketcompetitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$28.16 $46.94.
