QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Technology or a related field. They must hold or be eligible to obtain a state teaching certification in Technology Education and pass all preemployment screenings. Experience or training in teaching engineering robotics or other STEMrelated courses or programs is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills effectively engaging with students guardians and colleagues. Additionally candidates should show a commitment to ongoing professional development and stay updated on technology trends.
DESCRIPTION
The High School Technology Teacher will teach concepts and standards related to STEM education including engineering and robotics using a curriculum approved by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). The teacher will plan lectures demonstrations and handson learning experiences ensuring that the instruction aligns with realworld applications and supports all students in becoming college and careerready.

SUPERVISION
Work is performed under the direction of the School Principal in conjunction with the Supervisor of Career & Technical Education.
WORK CONDITIONS
Duties performed are typically in the school setting with some activities performed offcampus. Work requires frequent standing sitting walking and light lifting. Some assignments are subject to deadlines inherent in tailoring and delivering programs to meet the needs of diverse groups. Employees may be required to perform emergency and nonemergency healthrelated services for students as needed.
