Position: Patent Analyst

Location: Pune India

Department: Intellectual Property Group

Reports to: India IP Manager

Overview

The Patent Analyst search prior arts among all patents published in the world millions of publications and may performs statistical analyses. These searches are essential for our patent first filing decisions and the freedom to use our innovations and products. He/She may also create and animate patent watches for our experts. To reach that goals the patent analyst is an expert in our professional patent search database namely Orbit Intelligence.

The main missions of the role are as follows:
Search and complete reports to assess the patentability of our inventions.
Perform patent searches for preparing reports pertaining to Freedom To Operate and Patent Clearance in order to avoid infringement by our future products.
Conduct thorough searches in order to invalidate some competitors patent.
Establish the State of the Art and Landscape for new innovation subject matters.
Create and animate with our experts Patent Watch in order to monitor the competition.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Mechanics/Electronics with some experience about the automotive technologies.
Some awareness about patents e.g. as inventor or thanks to a training about patents.
Key competences of a patent analyst are reading understanding and comparing.
Curiosity about technologies and found of reading are favorable indicia.
Knowledge of the key players in the automotive industry is welcome.
Fluent English is mandatory writing skill is important.
Team player with good communication skills.
International mind set able to work in a multicultural environment.
