Job Description
Purpose of Position:
To serve and educate prospective students throughout the recruitment process; to be a positive representative of the University and convey optimism in attitude conversations and contacts at all times. Each ambassador must has a knowledge level of all academic and student support office to share while on tours in all weather conditions rain cold snow heat winds etc. On average give 40 tours a semesters and help close to 40 visit days as well. Relate to a wide variety of people and personalities while having the ability to build relationships quickly. Trouble all issues with leading campus tours with the ability to answer difficult questions.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with on average 500 campus visitors daily visits visit days bus tours and weekend tours.
- Must work a minimum of two 2hour blocks per week.
- Ability to drive the University allterrain vehicle for errands or transport visitors on campus.
- Each ambassador must have a knowledge level of all academic and student support offices to share while leading the campus tour.
- Will train the right candidate.
- Give tours in all weather conditions rain cold snow heat winds etc.
- On average give 100 tours a summer.
- Relate to a wide variety of people and have the ability to build relationships quickly.
- Trouble all issues with campus tours and the ability to answer difficult questions.
Job Qualifications:
- Exhibit interpersonal skills
- University knowledge during screening interviews
- Must have a 2.70 GPA and great communication skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Strong familiarity with the college campus and campus programs
- Ability to relate to a variety of people and to think on your feet
- Must have a safe driving record and meet all University requirements to drive a University allterrain vehicle
Wage Rate:$10.30
Hours Available: 20
Length of Employment: Summer Semester
Start Date: ASAP
