The Programs Manager (also advertised as Sr. Grants Manager) works within the Court Administrators Office to deliver comprehensive services for the Vermont Judiciary. In this role the Programs Manager develops manages and evaluates treatment court programs statewide. This individual will oversee the administration of multiple treatment courts throughout the state to support judicially supervised treatment solutions for courtinvolved individuals with compulsive substance use disorder driving under the influence and other behavioral health disorders. ; ;
Responsibilities include: identifying system needs and problems and developing potential solutions and strategies to address them; securing funding from state or federal sources to support programming; ;supervision of staff; grants management; recommending and implementing action plans; recommending and monitoring systems to support operational processes and procedures; providing for education and training of treatment court team members; program evaluation and analysis; communications; legislative tracking; maintaining public website content; drafting and managing contracts; and work on new ; programs systems and / or projects in development as assigned. ;
The Programs Manager must exercise independent judgment and evaluative thinking. Extensive interaction with judicial officers Judiciary staff representatives from other branches of government and various public and private groups will occur. ; ;
Desired Skills and Experience:
This is a fulltime permanent opening based in Montpelier Vermont. Starting salary will be $78000 or higher depending upon experience. The position is an exempt Judicial Branch position. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: ;Bachelors degree in public administration business administration criminal justice or related field; or Juris Doctor; or license to practice law in the State of Vermont. ; ;
Experience: ;Four or more years of experience in a public private or nonprofit organization involved in social work human services grants management or related. ;
Summary of Duties:
Scheduled hours of work generally conform to public court hours but assignments may extend beyond those hours. ;Travel including the possibility of overnight travel to other locations for meetings may be required. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Job Code #25031
