Exciting Opportunity: Senior Associate Recoveries


Location: Sydney General Insurance Sector


Position Overview:


Our client a leading Australian law firm is seeking a skilled Senior Associate to join their esteemed General Insurance practice in Sydney. This permanent fulltime position offers a hybrid and flexible working arrangement combining both remote work and time in modern openplan offices. The organization supports this with IT equipment for working from home and a reimbursement of up to $500 for additional setup needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

This role involves working within a collaborative and highperforming General Insurance team known for handling complex and highprofile claims. The position focuses on high quantum property recoveries property damage liability claims (defense and recovery) and general insurance matters.


Responsibilities include:


Reviewing documents and preparing evidence

Drafting correspondence for the Court and third parties

Conducting witness conferences and preparing witness statements

Preparing briefs for counsel

Drafting court documents and attending court

Preparing client advice

Drafting instruction letters to experts and

Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will possess:


A minimum of four years postadmission experience in general insurance law particularly in recoveries and property damage liability claims.

Strong legal writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

A proactive and teamoriented mindset with a strong interest in defendant insurance law.
