About the role
As a Senior Automation Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical device products. Youll collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design develop and execute comprehensive test plans ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your work will directly impact patient safety and contribute to lifechanging solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Applies technical knowledge to innovate design and develop processes procedures fixturing and/or automation.
- Perform engineering functional and performance testing of electrical/electromechanical components subsystems and complete systems.
- Conduct electrical safety and EMC testing and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze test results generate detailed reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input to the engineering print package.
- Work with a crossfunctional team.
- When required provides work direction to technicians and may train test personnel when required as part of a validation.
- Designs develops debugs modifies and tests electrical circuits and systems by using current tools analysis techniques and technologies.
- Work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines and communicate in a timely manner.
- Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (or related field).
- 5 years of relevant experience relating to test automation and fixture design
- Experience with automation in LabVIEW.
- Understands engineering and problemsolving principles concepts tools and techniques as well as fundamentals of change management and test validation.
- Develops creative solutions and collaboratively draws ideas from cross functional teams. Advocates for their ideas with passion while listening to and considering the ideas of the team.
- Takes initiative to identify improvement opportunities prioritize them communicate them to the appropriate levels and sees them through to completion.
- Is resilient in the face of setbacks. Plans appropriately for risks and responds positively to unforeseen problems.
- Excellent organizational communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Equipment and fixture design along with test systems development experience
- Process Development equipment validations and process characterization experience
- Ability to translate theoretical and abstract ideas into meaningful innovation
- Python and/or C/C programming experience
- Data driven individual statistical analysis experience
- Design experience new product development

Responsabilits:

- Effectuer des essais techniques fonctionnels et de rendement sur des composants lectriques/lectromcaniques des soussystmes et des systmes complets.
- Effectuer des essais de scurit lectrique et de compatibilit lectromagntique et veiller au respect des normes et de la rglementation applicables.
- Contrler et analyser les rsultats des essais produire des rapports dtaills et formuler des recommandations en matire damlioration.
- Fournir des informations sur la mthodologie de fabrication (DFM) et la mthodologie dessai (DFT) pour le dossier des documents techniques.
- Travailler avec une quipe interfonctionnelle.
- Le cas chant diriger le travail de techniciens et former le personnel charg des essais si ncessaire dans le cadre dune validation.
- Concevoir dvelopper dboguer modifier et tester des circuits et des systmes lectriques en utilisant les outils les techniques danalyse et les technologies les plus rcents.
- Travailler de manire autonome pour planifier et programmer ses propres activits afin de respecter les dlais et deffectuer rapidement les communications.

Comptences requises:
- Baccalaurat en gnie lectrique (ou discipline connexe).
- Plus de 5annes dexprience pertinente dans le domaine de lautomatisation des essais et de la conception de dispositifs dessai.
- Exprience en automatisation avec LabVIEW.
- Comprhension des principes des concepts des outils et des techniques dingnierie et de rsolution de problmes ainsi que des principes fondamentaux de la gestion du changement et de la validation des essais.
- laboration de solutions cratives et collaboration avec des quipes dautres disciplines. Capacit dfendre ses ides avec passion tout en coutant les ides de lquipe et en en tenant compte.
- Capacit prendre linitiative didentifier les possibilits damlioration de les classer par ordre de priorit de les communiquer aux chelons appropris et de les mener bien.
- Rsilience face aux difficults rencontres. Capacit prvoir les risques de manire approprie et ragir positivement aux problmes imprvus.
- Excellentes aptitudes en matire dorganisation de communication et de collaboration.
- Solides comptences en matire de documentation.
Comptences souhaites:
- Exprience dans la conception dquipements et de dispositifs dessai ainsi que dans le dveloppement de systmes dessai.
- Dveloppement de procds; exprience en validation des quipements et en caractrisation des procds.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for hourly nonsales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for salaried nonsales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and longterm incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
