Description

The Senior Director of Global Payroll will oversee the global payroll operations ensuring compliance with all local state federal and international payroll laws and regulations. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing payroll strategies managing a global payroll team and optimizing payroll systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. The Senior Director of Global Payroll will be responsible for pulling together the various decentralized payroll resources around the globe into their team standardizing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance and streamlining/optimizing technologies and vendors. This position will in collaboration with executive leadership set the strategy around service delivery and vendor engagement. The role will partner closely with Finance IT and other crossfunctional leaders.

This position will be located at our Corporate HQs office in Westerville Ohio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement global payroll strategies and policies that align with the companys overall objectives.
    • Lead the global payroll function ensuring efficient and compliant payroll operations across all regions.
  2. Team Management:
    • Manage and mentor a team of payroll professionals fostering a highperformance culture.
    • Ensure continuous development and training of the payroll team to maintain high levels of expertise and performance.
  3. Payroll Operations:
    • Oversee the endtoend global payroll process ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant local state federal and international payroll regulations.
    • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll systems and processes.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure payroll operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations including tax and labor laws.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of payroll data.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate payroll audits.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency accuracy and compliance.
    • Implement and leverage technology to streamline payroll operations and improve the employee experience.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with HR Finance and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and integration with other systems.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing regular updates on payroll operations and addressing any concerns or issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in payroll management with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global payroll operations.
  • Indepth knowledge of global payroll practices tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing highperforming teams.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems with experience in implementing and optimizing payroll technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with payroll system implementations.

  • This position may require occasional travel to various company locations and vendor sites.
