An exciting new opportunity has arisen for aPortfolio Underwriting Consultantto focus on the underwriting and quality assurance of our SME business through Intelligent Automation.
You will proactively develop and support the implementation of the strategic direction of Automated Regional business focusing on Intelligent Automation through underwriting and portfolio management with an emphasis on assurance insights and controls.

A bit about the job:
We are looking for someone who can effectively utilize data and insights in conjunction with their underwriting knowledge to optimize our business outcomes using Intelligent Automation tools.
You will work with the existing team to review and improve the holistic risk and control environment as we introduce new business automation. You will provide challenge guidance and support to regional teams helping to secure good customer outcomes protect the reputation of the business and support its safe growth.
Skills and experience were looking for:
Experience in Assurance or control testing including the ability to scope develop and execute assurance reviews and recommend sustainable resolution.
Relationship/stakeholder management skills and are comfortable being challenging being persuasive with energy enthusiasm and resilience.
Problem solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve performance blockages
Previous Commercial Underwriting experience (Cross class is advantageous) with enthusiasm to learn new skills in portfolio management.
To be well organised and have excellent diary management skills to ensure deadlines are met
