Job Title: Maintenance Repair Worker
Supervisor: Manager of Grounds and Facilities
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Summary: Performs skilled and semiskilled work in several trades in the maintenance construction and repair of buildings equipment and grounds.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); preferred experience as a tradesman and completion of or working towards a recognized apprenticeship training period or oneyear related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Interpersonal Skills: Willing and able to learn routines and procedures to accomplish tasks in several different trade areas. Ability to interact appropriately with teachers staff community members and students. Focuses on solving conflict; maintains confidentiality; Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing fluently in English. Preference may be given to applicants fluent in English and Spanish. Ability to effectively present verbal information. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: General knowledge of computer usage and ability to use email.
Certificates Licenses Registrations: As determined by the District including valid Oregon drivers license bloodborne pathogen and blood spill training and asbestos awareness training.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Employees may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens. Employees may be subject to temperature fluctuations fumes odors and dust. The employee may be exposed to vibration with the use of machinery. The employee may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electrical shock due to working with pumps and motors.
