Summary: Shady Hill School is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The Front Desk is the primary information center of the school providing a warm welcome to all constituencies fielding questions and serving as an important point of contact for children and families coming and going from school. The Afternoon Front Desk Receptionist manages the Front Desk email and phone lines with the Morning Front Desk Receptionist. In the afternoons the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing all student dismissal questions and changes. This is a parttime 60 FTE) hourly position from 12pm 4:45pm Monday through Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:- Serve as a welcoming presence to children parents faculty staff and visitors
- Answer calls and emails to Shady Hill School
- As part of the Front Desk team manage annual family student and staff registration and setup in SchoolPass (attendance/emergency response application)
- Record and communicate daily student departures and dismissal location changes in SchoolPass over the phone and via radio
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Transportation to coordinate daily school bus ridership lists
- Create rosters in SchoolPass for each sports team each season (fall winter spring)
- Receive and sort incoming mail prepare outgoing mail to be sent maintain copy machine and postage meter supplies order supplies and maintain employee phone listings
- Participate in all mandatory health and safety training including CPR First Aid and emergency preparedness
