An opportunity is available for a 3rd Line Engineer & Team Lead to build and grow a team ofsupport technicians that can support our customer in the delivery of training systems and thecontinuation of training for our armed forces personnel.
We are looking for a skilled 3rd line support engineer that has team lead experience to build anew team of 2nd/3rd line technicians. If you are looking build your portfolio this will be the idealopportunity to grow your IT knowledge and management skills. You would be expected to havegood leadership & communication and be able to impart your knowledge to junior teammembers. To enable this a good level of experience and understanding of IT support is are opportunities to skill up with selfstudy and training in some of our technologies thatyou will be expected to support. You will be working with remote teams based at other sites around the UK and inter team liaisonand communication is an important aspect. This opportunity is a customer facing role liaisingwith the key customer to provide guidance and support to ensure we are meeting our contractualexpectations. You will create processes and instructions for the team to support our customersand corporate partners that will meet our KPIs/PIs.
Your role
We are looking for a 3rd line support technician to provide technical support and solutions tolegacy and future training systems. This position is located at Faslane Helensburgh and is office based only there is no remote working from this site due to the nature of support we provide.
Knowledge of military security Protected Document Register and Joint Service Publications(PDR/JSPs) would be advantageous. The successful applicant may also engage in projectsfurther afield from time to time. You will need to maintain a high level of customer satisfactionby clarifying the customers needs and ensure they are met whilst working within your agreedsupport role as defined by your line management. Some of the key tasks and core skills areoutlined below but you will also be involved with other work as directed and be expected playyour part in contributing to the teams ability to meet target KPIs/PIs (i.e. document reviews /System installation). Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

In addition to leadership experience an understanding of IT support and infrastructure. Good knowledge and experience of the following technologies:

Our Hours of support areper week. There will be no oncall requirement for this role.
