*The candidate for this position must have content knowledge of History or Science and strong background with instructional technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong preparation and background in History or Science with a focus on K12instructional strategies and school leadership experience.
- Strong analytical skills ability to interpret data with and for teachers/administrators in order to improve student achievement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborativeshared leadership environment.
- Proficiency in public speaking and written communication to express and/or exchange ideas.
- Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students teachers parents administrators and the community.
- Emotionally mature objective and sensitive to people and their concerns. Able to handle responsibility work independently and maintain collaborative working relationships with students coaches families administration and coworkers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B. A. from fouryear college or university with an advanced degree in History or Science or Curriculum and Instruction preferred. Administration/Supervision endorsement is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of successful experience teaching History or Science in public education preferred.
- Strong instructional technology background preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children with disabilities students with limited English proficiency and students who are economically disadvantaged
