Spanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator
As a Spanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator you will provide opportunities for recreational programming for children and Spanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating recreational activities and programs for families and children within a bilingual setting. They work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where families can engage in educational recreational and social activities that promote physical emotional and cognitive development.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range forSpanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator: $21.63
Pay commensurate with experience.

Spanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator Responsibilities Include:
Must speak read and write Spanish.
Exhibits cultural sensitivity/humility and provides culturally responsive programming.
Schedule and coordinate with local recreational facilities and charitable organizations to provide recreational services for children and families.
Manages all active recreation services with organizations and their facilities to provide children with the highest level of service possible.
Ensures that programming and services are accessible and meet the needs of all individuals and abilities.
Ensures ageappropriate recreational programming: talent shows arts youth sports etc.
Create and manage fun activities delivery of structured recreational childrens activities.
Facilitates ongoing communication with teammembers to achieve effective and efficient program operations.
Knowledge of screening and assessments related to child development and to child and care giver functioning.
Document all families staff and visitors entering and exiting the facility; complete census forms report all incidents and log all events
Facilitate resident new admissions and move outs
Generate and submit nightly rosters and file all documentation relating to shift coverage
Provide a professional greeting to all visitors and callers.
Ensure the lobby and front of the building are always cleared
Prevent loitering in all areas within and surrounding the building in conjunction with security
Assist with fire drills/emergency evacuations
Assist custodial and security staff with the maintenance and security of the facility
Distribute mail to families
Facilitate room check and hourly rounds
Facilitate the food distribution process including receiving food delivery
Implement all programmatic needs as necessary and outlined by the Site and Social Services Directors.
Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned
Spanish Bilingual Family and Children Recreation Coordinator Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
High School Diploma.
Spanish/English bilingual fluency required. Additional languages preferred include French Haitian Creole Wolof Pular Fulah and other western African dialects.
Must have experience working with children outdoor and indoor recreational activities and children supervision.
Knowledge about outdoor and indoor environments with ability to plan and organize be comfortable speaking with parents or families work with a team and have flexibility.
Positive serviceoriented attitude serving diverse groups of children regarding age ethnicity gender race economic status and gender orientation.
Ability to development tactical and strategic plans goals and objectives.
Strong organization planning and communication skills.
Strong commitment to physical and mental education including the ability to participate in these activities daily.
Ability to lift items over 20 pounds.
Crisis intervention experience preferred.
Must be organized as well as have excellent verbal written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families collaborating agencies and community professionals
Past applicable job experience may include but is not limited to: Bilingual Youth Recreation Director Family Programs Coordinator or Family and Children Youth Coordinator.
Must pass preemployment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
